Hello,

I'm reproducing this disconnect-reconnect cycle caused by CyberPower UPS (mis?)using the usbhid interface.

This same issue was occurring about a year ago, and was resolved by kernel update to 2.6.35.2 (around August 2010 archlinux i think).

After recent update to 2.6.38.5 the issue reappears.

Currently reproducing on 2.6.38.7

UPS model is CyberPower CP1500 AVR UPS, although issues occur with other models matching the VENDORID:PRODUCTID of 0764:0501, this includes model DX600E-FR and the model reported here by James.

Captured usbmon data for 2 dis/reconnect cycles: tshark -V -i usbmon3 -w 2xdisconnect.cap
attached as tshark-V-iusbmon3-w-2xdisconnect.cap
(sorry if file attachment is bad for the list, please advise)

If this hid issue warrants addressing, I could provide additional debug data, or test patches.

Thank You...

johnea
