Could well be.  This appears similar to the problems reported in

	https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=25832

("kernel crashes when a mounted ext3/4 file system is physically
removed" -- although actually the crash occurs when the filesystem is
unmounted, not when the physical device is removed).  I just wonder if
there's any real connection.
