Thank  you for your help.  I'm sorry to be such a pain.
I'm sure this is second nature to you. This is my first time
tackling the kernel and new chips....
I wish I could plug the device in.....
I do not have it yet....
When I get more information, may I continue this conversation?

When you plug your device in, what happens?

Without the usb vendor/product ids, we really can't do much here, sorry.
