As far as I can tell, there's no problem except perhaps for the delay in usb-storage. You can get rid of this delay by doing modprobe usb-storage delay_use=0 (if the usb-storage module isn't already loaded) or echo 0 >/sys/module/usb_storage/parameters/delay_use (if it is).
