Reset on USB-Bus at Shutdown?

Hello,

I use on m HTPC (Upunti Lucid Lynx, Kernel 2.6.25) a LCD-Display from Soundgraph (http://www.soundgraph.com/oem-lcd-feature-en/). This Display is connected to the USB-Bus to show several messages.

When shutting down the system, the Backlight is switched of by the software. A second before the power is switched off, the backlight goes on again. I tested the same Hardware under Windows XP, and there the backlight stays off. So, there must by a signal or a reset on the USB-Bus before switching off the Power.

Can anybody tell me, whats the diefference between linux and windows at this point?
And how can I solve this?

Regards

Daniel
