Here are the changes to the composite.c:

Some ideas in this patch may be... shocking (?) but I believe many
gadget drivers can benefit from it and I'm thinking not only about
gadgets created by me.

PS. If you're satisfied with this solution, I'll repost the patches
    tomorrow as to make them clearly apply on top of -next (I must have
    not been thinking straight when I posted the original series).
