Please redo the test with CONFIG_PRINTK_TIME enabled.  Also run 
usbmon (for the 1u device file) during the test.  Instructions for 
usbmon are in Documentation/usb/usbmon.txt.

You don't have to post the dmesg log or the usbmon trace for a 
suspend/resume cycle where everything works.  Just show a test where 
the 1-2.1 device gets disconnected.

Here's where the problem occurs:

> usb 1-2.1: reset-resume
> hub 1-2:1.0: logical disconnect on port 1
> pm_op(): usb_dev_resume+0x0/0x18 returns -19

But this log doesn't show the reason for the logical disconnect.
