I'm working on the kernel version shown there in the modprobe output: 2.6.34 RC3 with some extra updates from git it seems.

The patch I'm using right now is exactly the one you sent me.  I had to modify the patch when I was trying to apply it to a 2.6.33 kernel (Fedora 13 Rawhide) but now that I updated my laptop to Fedora 14 Rawhide with a 2.6.34 RC3 kernel the patch applies cleanly.
