Hi
I also have some problems using USBIP with externel storage. I'm quite new
at sourceforge and don't know where else I can ask my questions I hope you
can help me finding some solution and the answer where else I should ask
my questions.
But now to my problems: I run USBIP in Version 0.1.7.3 on 2 Debian Squeeze
Systems with an i386 Kernel v.2.6.32.
USBIP works fine if I use my mouse for testing, but any time I mount an
external storage with usbip on the client I get errors no minute later.
Most of the time I see the MSG that the usb-cable may be bad. I tested it
with three usb-sticks and one external HDD. Here are some parts of my
system.log from my client:

Those are wierd messages, I have had reports of others using a usb
storage device with usb-ip. Does it work if you try a different device
other than this one?

thanks,

Hi greg
I had this problem with several drives and any time there was the same
error which seems to me like a buffer overflow. I tried to load some
TrekStor HDD 3,5" and a iomega eGo HDD 2,5", a corsair Flash Voyager with
8GB and a noname USB sticks with 2GB. I tested any time with at least 2 of
these devices. Yesterday I also tested usbip with kernel 2.6.33 RC3 and
the TrekStor HDD and the same error came.

I think that gnome tries to mount the Harddrive and then the errors
arrive. Otherwise I can't really understand why I can see some usbip-mount
for less then a minute.

But what can I do or give you to find out if I made some error or where
the error comes from?
