Hi, yes the delay happens because the PCIe link does not come up and this is
the actual reason, not the patch that increased the delay. Can you add
"thunderbolt.dyndbg=+p" in the kernel command line, reproduce and attach full
dmesg so we can hopefully see why the PCIe tunnel is not created properly.

Also, did you tweak any BIOS settings from the defaults?
