After bisecting, I found out too that this change broke my arm
machine. With it, the serial console output is stopping at
'done. Booting the kernel'. Reverting cures the issue.
I've asked on linux-arm-kernel and I'm not the only owner of arm IOP
machines broken with this changes. I didn't hear of other arm machines
affected so far.
I hope to have more time to look at this later but if someone has
patches, please send them and I'll test them.
