With it, the serial console output is stopping at 'done. Booting the kernel'. Reverting cures the issue. I've asked on linux-arm-kernel and I'm not the only owner of arm IOP machines broken with this changes. I didn't hear of other arm machines affected so far. I hope to have more time to look at this later but if someone has patches, please send them and I'll test them.
