As a matter of fact, you're right -- this simple patch is about all 
that usb-storage will need after I have converted usbcore over to the 
new framework and after SCSI has added some minimal support.

But until then, of course, this won't work.  It would leave every
mass-storage device more or less permanently suspended once the initial
scanning was finished.
