Hi USB list,
with the recent usbutils release, i noticed the location of usb.ids moving around.
i find,
/usr/share/usb.ids
/usr/share/hwdata/usb.ids
/usr/share/lshw/usb.ids
I had earlier noted its location under /usr/share/hwdata, with the usbutils .86, its installed in /usr/share; a
more global scan shows a copy in /usr/share/lshw too.
would someone in the know comment on this observation to the effect of telling me where to find it going forward from
here? is the /usr/share the future location?
