Indeed.  The device managed to kill the OHCI controller even before the 
controller driver got a connect signal!

This suggests a problem at the hardware (or possibly firmware) level
rather than at the software level.  For example, it may be that the
DVB-S2 device works perfectly but the USB host controller chip in the 
computer is buggy or overheats.

Has the DVB-S2 been tested on any other computers?
