What kernel release is that?  A "-7" implies that this is a distro
kernel, right?  I suggest asking your distro for support for this, as
the 2.6.21 kernel is very old and many tens of thousands of changes have
happened in the years since that kernel was released.

If this still happens on the 2.6.29 kernel, please let us know.
