Dear linux-usb list, I'm having a recurring issue with my on-board Bluetooth controller falling off USB bus after about an hour of continuous usage: [91080.440903] usb 2-6: USB disconnect, device number 24 [91080.450545] Bluetooth: hci0: setting interface failed (19) [91080.685270] usb 2-6: new full-speed USB device number 25 using xhci_hcd [91080.812297] usb 2-6: New USB device found, idVendor=8087, idProduct=07dc [91080.812301] usb 2-6: New USB device strings: Mfr=0, Product=0, SerialNumber=0 [91082.876329] Bluetooth: hci0: command 0xfc05 tx timeout [91082.876332] Bluetooth: hci0: Reading Intel version information failed (-110) Unloading and loading the btusb module helps get it running again: [91099.099276] usbcore: deregistering interface driver btusb [91101.678422] usbcore: registered new interface driver btusb [91101.693151] Bluetooth: hci0: read Intel version: 370710018002030d56 [91101.693154] Bluetooth: hci0: Intel device is already patched. patch num: 56 [91103.580276] Bluetooth: hci0: SCO packet for unknown connection handle 0 [91103.590133] Bluetooth: hci0: SCO packet for unknown connection handle 0 [91103.590137] Bluetooth: hci0: SCO packet for unknown connection handle 0 [91105.537140] input: 50:1A:A5:D7:43:93 as /devices/virtual/input/input28 The last line indicates my BT headset reconnected successfully. Could you give me any pointers for debugging this? I cannot trigger this on-demand, but when I'm in a conference call, it occurs within an hour or two of continuous usage of my BT headset in HFP mode. I originally reported it against the Bluetooth stack here: https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=198803 but I'm not sure if it's an issue with Bluetooth stack or the USB stack. You can find dmesg and lsusb output attached there.
