Hello

I watched a number of patches for the ti_3410_5052 last year, here in the list, from Chris and others, regarding the use of alternate firmware from 3rd-party vendors.

But I got kind lost about which kernel versions should contain all those updates.

If I understood correctly, the patches should be applied against kernel 2.6.27
(linux-2.6.27-vanilla/drivers/usb/serial/ti_usb_3410_5052.c)

Are the patches already available in one of the newer kernel versions like 2.6.28 or 2.6.29? Or should I proceed to apply all the patches individually against 2.6.27?

Sorry that I don't know much about the kernel dev process, so I couldn't check this information by my own. I'd like to learn where to look for the most "fresh" version of the needed files, and how to check about the status of individual patches (whether they have been merged to the main tree or not).

thanks,
Best regards!
Victor
