PTP driver implementation now available

Hi,

we are pleased to announce a first release of the ptp-gadget Linux
user-space Picture Transfer Protocol driver. It is available now for
download from git://git.denx.de/ptp-gadget.git Please, see README for more
information and COPYING for a copy of the GPL v3 license.

So far this is a very minimal implementation, patches are welcome:-) As we
don't expect too much traffic discussing this software we propose to use
this mailing list for any discussions, bug-reports or patch submissions.
However, if necessary, a separate mailing list can be organised at DENX.

Known problems: as also indicated in the README, the driver has so far
only been proven to work with Linux hosts with various versions of
gphoto2, gtkam, other GUIs. Testing with a MAC OS X tiger host has been
only partially successful: a camera is recognised, but no images are
found. Third party tests under Windows have also been unsuccessful so far.
A possible reason can be a lack of an Associations implementation.

We'd like to thank TQS (http://www.tqs.de/) for financing this project.

Thanks
Guennadi
