May be you posted a fix which is not horrible now but could be horrible until someone else finds a fix for it.
Sorry, I have no desire to fix known broken patches. I usually try my best to catch them before being merged.
If Linux was perfect no one would be posting a patch in LKML any more!
If you think that all patches posted to LKML or any other linix-* list are silently merged, you're very wrong.
