I'm curious...  How do you know that the controller reset the device?  
I didn't see anything about it being reset in the log you copied to the 
bug report.  The only relevant messages were variations on:

[ +5.214018] xhci_hcd 0000:06:00.0: Timeout while waiting for setup device command
[ +0.203334] usb 6-2: device not accepting address 2, error -62

Can you provide a usbmon trace for bus 6 showing what happens when this 
problem occurs?
