I noticed a while ago that the OpenWrt guys have made a few useful changes to this utility, including the ability to name the device by VID:PID. This makes it a lot easier to use: http://git.openwrt.org/?p=openwrt.git;a=blob;f=package/utils/usbreset/src/usbreset.c I've been planning to get that diff submitted to usbutils, but haven't gotten around to it yet.
