I'm not aware of a fix, other than the mentioned reverting of the last
XFS changes (which I didn't try). I was even a bit surprised that this
isn't taken more seriously. It makes even basic work on XFS filesystems
impossible under 2.6.28. A simple "svn up" aborts with the message
"Value too large for defined data type". I had to revert to 2.6.27.10.
