Seriously, if you want to stick with the 2.4 kernel tree, you are pretty
much on your own.  No one in the community really supports it al all
anymore, it's just too old and obsolete.

Why are you stuck with a 2.4 kernel?  Is there some hardware support
that the 2.6 kernel does not provide?
