Some of the 5TB Seagate drives do not crash uas, and, so far, no Western Digital 5TB has crashed uas. The system in question consists of an EVGA 122-CK-NF68 motherboard with an Intel Core2 quad processor. The motherboard bios has been updated to the latest version NF68-P33. The system has 4GB of memory. I bought the PCI usb controller to try and work around the problem, but that was not successful. Regardless of where the problem lies, the uas kernel should not crash.
