Just to add, usbhid *is* the correct driver for CP2110. Further s/w support for it is supposed to reside in user-mode. The HID commands to configure CP2110 and exchange data through it are described in the CP2110 SDK on silabs.com. The SDK also includes a user-mode library with an even simpler interface on top of HID.
