Hello, just confirming I had the same issue under Arch Linux running 
kernel 4.2.2. However my HDD dock is different (idVendor=0x152d, 
idProduct=0x2561).

I applied both patches from Alan and now both of my HDDs are detected 
properly.

Any reason why I can't find the patches other than here? Any plans to 
include this fix in the mainline kernel? I know its fairly recent fix so 
maybe it takes some time.
