The touchscreen still works and is detected but after running xinput to map the touch interface with the monitor, it takes several touches to register a click on the monitor. This happens after the touch interface has not been used for a few seconds or when you move the mouse and then try to touch the screen. The last known (verified) working kernel version is 3.18.18.
