            Bug ID: 102001
Summary: Advanced Silicon S.A CoolTouch Touchscreen touch delay
           Product: Drivers
           Version: 2.5
    Kernel Version: 3.19-4.1
          Hardware: All
                OS: Linux
              Tree: Mainline
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P1
         Component: USB
          Assignee: greg@xxxxxxxxx
          Reporter: mattsch@xxxxxxxxx
        Regression: Yes

Starting in kernel 3.19 and verified also in 4.0.9 and 4.1.3, my Acer T232HL
monitor with the Advanced Silicon S.S CoolTouch USB touch interface started
malfunctioning. The touchscreen still works and is detected but after running
xinput to map the touch interface with the monitor, it takes several touches to
register a click on the monitor. This happens after the touch interface has not
been used for a few seconds or when you move the mouse and then try to touch
the screen. The last known (verified) working kernel version is 3.18.18.

Malfunctioning Touchscreen:

I've tested this with my touchscreen laptop and this bug does not manifest with
this touchscreen for some reason:
