Here is testing c3fd544720tca9ea677fff12970db9c42cedaa1d6
With verbose debug enabled:

This time, with verbose debug enabled, it worked it enumerates, shows
up in lsusb, and created my serial device.  It gets created
automatically in the log below because I repeated the test to create
the log, and the serial module was still inserted.
