The sample initd script provided in the scripts directory is not
working for at least CentOS 6.4
service tgtd status
tgtd is running. Run 'tgt-admin -s' to see detailed target info.
no it's not ...
service tgtd start
Starting target framework daemon
no ok message, no failure message
service tgtd status
tgtd is NOT running.
pgrep -l tgtd
2424 tgtd
2426 tgtd
yes it is ...
I think that init scripts for RH6 / SLE11 en Debian should be available,
maybe even systemd scripts for e.g. Fedora and OpenSUSE.
If the developers agrees with that, maybe i am able to help
