I have a use case that where I want to create a lun, and have the backing store be multiple files rather than just one.  My understanding of the current code says the backing store has to be one file. 


So I have a 10gb LUN than on the back end is 10 1gb files rather than a single 10gb file.

What is the benefit of this feature?
