But tgt has the proper workaround for signalfd in util.h. If systems don't support signalfd (old linux kernels, bsd, etc), tgt uses the pthread notification mechanism. I guess that simply backing to pthread_kill is the easiest way. But it's fine by me if you like to add some tricks like signalfd does. btw, sorry for the delay to merge your pthread work.
