The patch spi: omap2-mcspi: poll OMAP2_MCSPI_CHSTAT_RXS for PIO transfer has been applied to the spi tree at git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/broonie/spi.git All being well this means that it will be integrated into the linux-next tree (usually sometime in the next 24 hours) and sent to Linus during the next merge window (or sooner if it is a bug fix), however if problems are discovered then the patch may be dropped or reverted. You may get further e-mails resulting from automated or manual testing and review of the tree, please engage with people reporting problems and send followup patches addressing any issues that are reported if needed. If any updates are required or you are submitting further changes they should be sent as incremental updates against current git, existing patches will not be replaced. Please add any relevant lists and maintainers to the CCs when replying to this mail. Thanks, Mark >From 812613591cb652344186c4cd912304ed02138566 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Akinobu Mita <akinobu.mita@xxxxxxxxx> Date: Wed, 22 Mar 2017 09:18:26 +0900 Subject: [PATCH] spi: omap2-mcspi: poll OMAP2_MCSPI_CHSTAT_RXS for PIO transfer When running the spi-loopback-test with slower clock rate like 10 KHz, the test for 251 bytes transfer was failed. This failure triggered an spi-omap2-mcspi's error message "DMA RX last word empty". This message means that PIO for reading the remaining bytes due to the DMA transfer length reduction is failed. This problem can be fixed by polling OMAP2_MCSPI_CHSTAT_RXS bit in channel status register to wait until the receive buffer register is filled.
