Hi,

I’m not Samuel, but I believe what he’s referring to is the ability to use USB-to-serial converters and similar devices instead of onboard serial ports. THe USB protocol the DecTalk uses, as far as I know, is still not available, but you can use USB to serial adaptors with Speakup.
