My question is not about lynx the cat, but the more JavaScript friendly links the chain. further, my question is about improving how this browser presents information for my screen reader to find. I do not use speakup as no driver exists for my synthesizer. However command line options exist across tools, with my only having this issue with my new install of links the chain.
Want to be clear, since Chime added thoughts unrelated to my question.

Hello,

It has been some years since I was using Lynx. I recall that speakup worked better by changing the show curser option. Can’t remember if it needs to be enabled or disabled. But it was the opposite to the default.

I have never had Chime's problem in all my years of using l y n X, not that such is even close to relevant to the issue I raised regarding a different browser.

While I cannot answer Karens question, I can say that many times, listening to L Y N X in an options or drop down list, is not always easy. Sometimes options are jumbled or hard to pick out. Almost sounds as if an x gets added to many items. Obviously I have never been a fan of these sorts of drop down menus.
