GOT A WORK-AROUND FOR M PLAYER AND ORCA

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi, all

First of all, The list manager can disregard my last message.

I have a work-around for my m player and speech problem.

First of all, I have to stop pulse audio by going to /etc/init.d, then
running the pulseaudio script like so:

pulsaudio --stop

I have to move the pulseaudio binary from /usr/bin to a safe place,
then reboot.

Mplayer's happy, now.

To run Orca, I have to move the binary back, then in i/etc/init.d as
root, type

pulseaudio --start

I'll be putting together some scripts to manage this process.

Thank you all for the wonderful help you gave. This is a wonderful
group.

CraigMartin
