Hi, Yes speechd-up.log shows error while calling spd_open() to open speech dispatcher connection. That function is in libspeechd.c. I'm looking into why that fails but couldn't find speech dispatcher logs. I've set log path in speechd.conf but nothing there. If not, try increasing the logging level by passing -lx to speechd-up, where x is a level from one to five, with five being the highest I believe. Also, what happens when you run speechd-up with the -p flag?
