Hello James: Welcome to linux and speakup. Pretty much all of the
editors work with speakup although with varying levels of
accessibility. Vi is a favourite and Samuel has mentioned the
configuration change to make it work better. I myself use emacs and
find it works very well although I find silencing the status line
helps a lot. The simple editors also work but have different
foibles. There is also emacspeak wich is T.V. Ramans emacs speech
interface which I understand works quite nicely.
