Hi, You should just configure speech-dispatcher in ~/.conf or in /etc/speech-dispatcher/speechd.conf to use libao, pulse or alsa. As long as yuou have the sound set up correctly it should work. You may have some problems with pulse and orca. But if you launch espeakup in your current x session with sudo espeakup it should work if your using pulse. I have gnome and orca already working so I was wondering if there are any instructions on how to get speakup working so that I can use speakup when I switch to a console window and orca when I use gnome? > > > > I am pretty sure I remember that something has to be done with speech-dispatcher but I am not sure how to configure speech-dispatcher. > > > > Any tips would be appreciated. > > > > -- > Sincerely, Donald Raikes > > HYPERLINK "http://www.oracle.com/" \nOracle > Donald Raikes | Accessibility Specialist > > Oracle ADF for FA - Cloud > Arizona > > HYPERLINK "http://www.oracle.com/commitment" \nGreen Oracle > > Oracle is committed to developing practices and products that help protect the environment > > > _______________________________________________ > Speakup mailing list > Speakup@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > http://linux-speakup.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/speakup _______________________________________________ Speakup mailing list Speakup@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://linux-speakup.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/speakup
