-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA256 Well, you can hit the print screen key. That's supposed to completely turn Speakup off. Alternatively, you could write a script to unload the Speakup modules, start gdm and reload the Speakup modules later or reload them by hand. Speakup is supposed to turn itself off when it detects X and turn itself on at a normal console, but apparently that doesn't seem to work from what I've been reading lately. On my unstable system with a broken GDM and Orca, Speakup seems to work fine if I switch to a text console, but I have no speech at all with Orca and I need to do a new install to try to fix it.
