no speech in talkingArch cd

The TalkingArch image has a script that is supposed to unmute the sound
so that it starts talking correctly. If you are not getting speech, it's
possible that your soundcard has an oddly named mixer control for either
master or pcm output. Using your Vinux or other image that works, try
running

amixer

with no arguments, installing it if necessary. Most Debian and Ubuntu
derivatives will allow you to use

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install amixer

or similar if it isn't already on the system. Running amixer without any
additional parameters will allow you to find out the names of your mixer
controls so you can set them properly from the TalkingArch CD. Hope this
helps.
