Well, I wonder if there are ways to just run an Emacs server to drive the DecTalk, as it supports it, maybe more easily than Speakup. Since I am not the least bit familliar with that envirenment I would look for any way to improve my DecTalk experience--and-maybe finally be able to jump to a 3 curnel.
