The punc parameters

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi.

There are five punctuation-related parameters at the speakup level:
  punc_all     !"#$%&'()*+,-./:;<=>?@[\]^_`{|}~
  punc_most    #$%&()*+/<=>@\^|
  punc_some    $%&/@
  punc_level   1
  reading_punc 1

and one at the synth level:
  punct        0

What do they mean, and how do they interact ?
For example: punc_all, punc_most and punc_some
obviously define various different sets of punctuation characters;
but then punc_level is set not to "all" or "most" or "some",
but to a number. Does that number refer to all, most, or some ?

How do they interact with the synth-level punct parameter ?

And the reading_punc parameter: is that a number, or a boolean ?
What does it do ?

In  http://linux-speakup.org/spkguide.txt  it says:
  If you find one you aren't sure about,
  you can post a query on the Speakup list.
