There is still support for hardware synths. You may as well install wheezy now as squeeze is getting a bit old. From memory, so check before you try but it is something like: Put cd in to drive and boot from it. When cd spins down Down arrow and hit tab and speakup.synth=apollo or whatever synth you are using.
