That's a good default. It should also be possible to use any USB or Bluetooth braille display (the latter after adding a Bluetooth device to the USB port), unless there are interface issues that I'm not aware of. So far as I know, there isn't a serial port, yet another reason to fix the outstanding issues with Speakup and serial to USB converters.
