using the s shortcut to bring up software speech in Wheezy

Wheezy is the code name for the next stable release of debian.
Like squeeze is the code name of the current stable debian 6.0.
Wheezy is still in development and more info can be found here: www.debian.org/releases/testing.

I haven't been keeping up with this thread, can someone sum up what Wheezy 
is, or send a link to an explanation?
Is it specifically for SpeakUp, or is it something else?

As said before, it's supposed to work with all Wheezy images, except the
non-gtk netboot images.
