Speakup on Debian 6.0 "squeeze"

Interesting.
So to get software speech on Squeeze I just need to install espeakup, alsa, eSpeak etc and put Speakup_soft in /etc/modules?
And make sure the espeakup and alsa daemons starts at boot up of cource.
