Frame buffer question

Hello list,

I have installed the new Slackware distribution with brrtty. The system works fine except for one problem: it activates a framebuffer on my Radion video card. This causes a 43/132 screen to be defined. I actually want a 25/80 screen. Is there a parameter I can pass to the kernel when Lilo boots to not use a framebuffer?

Thank you very much.
