This is correct in all points.  I can't add much to it.

Exactly.  I updated the wiki several weeks ago.  As Chuck said, the only
difference is that we no longer need to install the speakup package,
since the modules are included with the kernel.  However, alsa-utils and
espeakup are still required for software speech.
