Speakup Not Reading Console8?

Sounds like you somehow accidently put speakup into laptop
layout. Whatever you used to lock it will unlock it. Try capslock, or
ctrl+z. I think those are the only 2 combinations which lock/unlock
laptop layout. Actually, I think insert on the numpad is one more key
which does that.
