I just put up a new package in the AUR for Arch Linux called speech-dispatcher-git. This one uses system wide service as its default mode of operation and pulls from latest git. It also includes a logrotate parm to control the size of speech-dispatcher logs. If any of you use speech dispatcher and want to try the new package, go to the link below and give it votes and chose notify and follow the progress. If other folks can try it out and provide any feedback, I can move the changes to the regular more stable speech-dispatcher package whish is already on AUR.
